    1. Bookwraiths says:

Great book Millar weaves several story lines together from the zombified FF to Doom s return to a time travel adventure Yes, the plots are resolved fairly quickly, but they are still fun escapades that fully entertain Land s art is rather hit or miss with me, guess too many look alike beautiful women begins to get stale after a while Overall, though, I m enjoying the series again after the first two volumes were fairly meh for me.

    2. Sesana says:

Any story that relies on the characters being suicidally stupid, for no particular reason, is not one I can get behind Most of this book wouldn t have happened if the military who run the Baxter Building had done the sensible thing and incinerated the zombie FF where they stood They didn t because I honestly don t know Reed objected, because of course he did, but why wasn t he patted on the head before they just did it anyway There s no reason given, because there s no reason possible.

    3. Shadowdenizen says:

What can I say I ve always been a sucker for the Frightful Four, in any combination

    4. Jeffrey Jelmeland says:

Possibly one of the best F4 stories I have read to date I am not exactly a fan of using zombies in a story, but it actually worked out rather well in this instance Aside from that, the interaction between Reed Victor was well worth the read, and I find myself actually looking forward to hopefully reading about Victor s presumed mission to clean up the zombie world and finding his way back to the prime universe This is Dr Doom after all so you know he has to come back to continue his perennial ha [...]

I m not a Fantastic Four fan.but this is brilliant

    6. Travis says:

Boy is this volume all over the place The unfocused storytelling and lack of consequences in the first story really drag down the enjoyment. The first story is an inane time travel tale that also introduces Super Skrull to the Ultimate Marvel universe There s a hugely confusing jump from the first issue to the second issue, plus the entire story starts off in media res since the time travel aspect has characters jumping all over and interacting with themselves And there s no real consequences sin [...]

    7. Edward Cheer says:

And yet again, Fantastic Four has run into repetition First it was well told stories with very similar villains for the first three novels Now, for the past three volumes we ve been stuck with less than interesting characters in very sped up plots with too much going on for it s short page count Again, I didn t mind the story But with how much I liked Doom , I thought that Frightful would be just as good I mean, Dr Doom is on the cover right But, yet again, there are two stories uncomfortably sq [...]

    8. Eric says:

The art is pretty amazing, but something about it is creepy in its realism I think its because each image seems frozen in time, like a photo I guess simpler line drawings seem less real, so they can flow in your mind Or maybe I just need to get used to its kind of a love hate relationship.I like these characters, but they re definitely not the ones I grew up with Seems like they re going with the revamped characters like the movies Having Sue and Johnny s father in there gives space for Reed [...]

    9. Charles says:

There are many different plot threads in this collection, there are Fantastic Four zombies from another dimension, pills from the Skrulls that give humans super powers but have horrific side effects, Johnny Storm suffering from a terminal infection that only Doctor Doom can cure and a mind transfer between Doom and Reed Richards.Within all of these plotlines, the action moves very well and with emotion Johnny Storm plays a very cruel practical joke on a Ben Grimm that is contemplating suicide, l [...]

Collects Ultimate Fantastic Four issues 27 32Sometimes comics are just a pleasure to read, and Volumes 5 and 6 of Ultimate Fantastic Four have felt like this This volume brought a conclusion to the zombie Fantastic Four storyline that started in the last volume Volume 6 also features the Ultimate Universe debut of the Super Skrull Best of all, while telling this Skrull story, there is a brief line of dialogue explaining how the Chitauri first seen in Issue 8 of the original run of The Ulimates a [...]

    12. Lissibith says:

I think this is one of the strongest collections in the entire UFF run The first story focuses on Ben Grimm, something the series had done woefully little of, and the result is a really touching story that gets to the heart of what superhero comics are all about strength, personal values and the courage to do what needs to be done no matter the sacrifice The second mini arc addresses the zombies Reed brought over from the zombieverse and brings Doom back into the picture There was something a li [...]

    13. Stacey says:

I don t like the idea of making superheroes I do think that the first story in Frightful was a good example of what could happen though one wonders how Thor becomes president as he s not a natural born US citizen And I did like the resolution but ultimately this volume is about the conclusion of the Zombie crisis. It takes a round about way to get there infecting Johnny with an alien parasite, traveling to Latveria to ask Doctor Doom for help Huh, it seems that Doctor Doom has mystical powers for [...]

    14. J. says:

Two three parters here the terribly titled President Thor which involves time travel, alternate history, Super Skrull, and some really excellent plotting Second, we get Frightful, in which we get Johnny infected by a Lovecraftian alien, a Faustian deal with Doom, the zombie FF in action, and, again, some really excellent plotting In both cases, Millar brings everything to really nice, poetic conclusions, and even though I think both of these stories could have breathed a little I mean, that s a [...]

    16. Sean Brennan says:

These two story arcs are quite simply perfect The fist President Thor reminiscent of the old What If Is the old favourite of what would have happened if the FF had not gained their powers in the original experiment. The second arc Frightful resurrected The Marvel Zombies after Kirkham had absolutely ruined the story This shoes just how good the original story could and should have been Any comic buffs read these issues.

    17. Jeff Raymond says:

What s been interesting about reading the Ultimate Fantastic Four trades is that my recollection of the series has consistently been better than the actual reading of them I m liking the stories, I m enjoying the cosmic angles, the time travel, the multiple universes, but only after I m done with them This one felt like a real slog, especially after enjoying the last one I ll keep going, but

    18. Craig says:

Again, some amazing artwork on hand here The story gets a bit overly convoluted, but everything does come together in one big climax Really liking most of what I ve read in this series so far.

    19. Tara Calaby says:

Stunning art once again There were a couple of moments where the plot wasn t as clear as it could ve been, but still a lot of fun.

    20. Scott says:

The President Thor story was a jumbled, confusing, rushed mess Frightful, however, was delightful.

    21. Angela says:

Alternative universes and Zombies This book is worth it for the way the Frightful Four get out of their cell, very funny A good read, that covers everything from skrulls to Doctor Doom.

    22. Joe says:

      Okay this was good.just good

    23. Zach Danielson says:

More craziness with the zombified Fantastic Four.

    24. Nicolas says:

I m not really into the Marvel Zombies thing, but this was fine.

    25. Brian says:

What fun Skrulls, Doom, and Zombies

    26. Martyn Perry says:

Better than Vol 5, nice artwork and a great set of stories that linked up better than in the previous volume.
